The conference has become a bright milestone for all scholars, authors and researchers mapping to all AI related intellectual and conceptual domains. During its long history, strong bonds have been developed between the members of its scientific community.

On behalf of its organizing and Scientific Committee, it is a real honor and pleasure to welcome all Artificial Intelligence scholars who are looking for a well-established and prestigious forum to communicate and disseminate the innovative advances of their research. ΕΑAAI/EANN covers a broad spectrum of AI literature subdomains. It aims to provide a forum for all scientists from both academia and industry who wish to share and discuss pioneer ideas, to get to know each other better and to present their novel research results. Moreover, it offers a deep glimpse into the future and examines important AI related ethical aspects. It is a fact that AI is continuously digging its way deeper in a vast number of diverse scientific domains. The conference accepts papers from the whole AI spectrum which is expanding rapidly.

EAAAI/EANN has been held continuously since 1995 on an annual basis. Through the years, it has evolved to a well-respected and mature event. This community comprises of an extended group of leading scientists, not only from Europe but from all over the globe.

The venue of the 27th EAAAI/EANN 2026, will be the premises of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) in the beautiful island of Crete, Greece. MAICh is a constituent institute of CIHEAM International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies a Mediterranean intergovernmental organization composed of 13 member states https://www.iamc.ciheam.org/

The distance between MAICh and the amazing touristic city of Chania is only 4 Km (9 minutes by bus or less by car). Chania lies along the northwest coast of the island Crete, about 70 km (43 min) west of the city of Rethymno. Chania is one of the most appealing and worldwide popular tourist destinations of Greece, attracting every year, all year round, thousands of visitors. Chania International Airport, also known as “Daskalogiannis” Airport, is the second busiest airport in Crete, after Heraklion Airport. It’s located on the Akrotiri peninsula, about 14 kilometers east of the city of Chania. The airport is a key gateway to western Crete, serving both domestic and international flights.

The high impact of the EAAAI conference is confirmed by its h-index value which is equal to 32. Its Proceedings have always been published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Communications in Computer and Information Science CCIS book series, which is indexed to the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) – it is part of Clarivate Analytics’ Web of Science, EI Engineering Index (Compendex and Inspec databases), ACM Digital Library, DBLP, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Scopus and Zentralblatt MATH.

This proves the novelty and quality of the presented-published research and its important contribution to the promotion of scientific ideas, algorithms, and methods, globally. The fact that the Springer Proceedings of the conference have been downloaded more than 1,000,000 times so far, supports the robust impact of the event among the scholars of AI internationally. This proves the novelty and quality of the presented-published research and its important contribution to the promotion of scientific ideas, algorithms and methods, globally.

The colleagues who will attend the 27th EAAAI/EANN 2026 on site will have the chance to enjoy the hospitality of the organizers and to interact with other researchers. However, the ones who cannot travel to the venue have the capacity to present their research from home and to attend the presentations remotely, under the Webex platform. Nevertheless, the 27th EAAAI/EANN team has extended experience in long-distance conference organizations. We should mention that the 2020 and 2021 conferences were broadcasted remotely due to Covid restrictions, whereas the 2022, 2023, 2023, 2024, 2025 events were organized successfully in a hybrid mode.

We are certain that once more, we will be able to exchange ideas, to get to know each other better, and to interact by presenting our research achievements, under a unique environment.

Cordially,

The 27th EAAAI/EANN 2026 Chairs

Update to the EAAAI (ex EANN) Community from the Organisers Dear Colleagues, The 27th EAAAI/EANN 2026 is an event present in the literature, for more than a quarter of a Century!
