Virtual Session
EAAAI 2026 Virtual Session will be available through the conference platform from the first day of the conference, Thursday 16th of July 2026, and will remain accessible throughout the entire conference.
The presentation videos will continue to be available for several days after the conference has ended, providing participants with additional time to view the presentations.
The Virtual Session includes all papers that will be presented through pre-recorded video presentations. Unlike the scheduled live sessions, Virtual Session presentations can be viewed asynchronously, allowing conference participants to watch them at their convenience.

The welcome reception will be a networking event that includes a light variety of finger food and drinks which will be served to the participants in an informal way.
It will take place in the terrace of the Archeological Museum of Chania.

Welcome reception is complimentary and free for all registered conference participants.

Tickets for accompanying and/or not registered persons can be purchased from the conference registration desk. Tickets for welcome reception costs 20 euros.

Join us for a guided walking tour through the city center of Chania and its historic Old Port, one of the most charming and distinctive areas of Crete. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the rich history, unique architecture, and vibrant atmosphere of the city while discovering landmarks that reflect Chania’s multicultural past. In the company of professional guides, the tour will offer a pleasant introduction to the beauty and character of the city.
Our professional guides will welcome participants in the city center for a two-hour walking tour.
All participants and their accompanying persons are welcome to join the tour.
The exact starting time and meeting point will be announced during the first day of the conference.
Join us for a memorable evening that combines history, culture, gastronomy, and celebration in one of the most beautiful areas of Crete.
The first part of the event is dedicated to a visit to the archaeological site of Aptera, a place of exceptional natural beauty and great historical importance. Dominating a strategic location with breathtaking views, Aptera played a key role in the development of the ancient city and remains one of the most remarkable archaeological destinations in the region.
The excursion will begin at 17:30* with boarding on the conference buses, which will take participants directly to the archaeological site. There, professional guides will lead a 90-minute guided tour, presenting the site’s most important monuments, findings, and fascinating history.
After the visit, we will board the buses once again and continue to Koumos, where the Conference Dinner & Party will take place. In a warm and festive atmosphere, participants will enjoy a traditional dinner featuring a rich selection of Greek and Cretan dishes, accompanied by a wide variety of drinks, including wine, beer, soft drinks, and, of course, authentic Cretan raki / tsikoudia.
The evening will be further enriched by a local music and dance group, who will not only entertain us with live singing and traditional dances, but will also invite participants to join in and experience the spirit of Cretan celebration firsthand.
The Excursion / Conference Dinner & Party is included free of charge for all participants holding a FULL registration. Please note that student registrations do not include tickets for this event.
